Unfortunately there are no clear regulatory rules for sample or competition orders, however we understand that sometimes they need to be sent. In general, the maximum sample quantity that can be sent is two bottles per SKU, but it varies by state so please check before placing the order. Please follow these steps when sending samples.


IMPORTANT:

  • This process should not be used for any other purpose.
  • These orders will be on the reports with the producer listed as the shipper and license holder.
  • The price of these products may be set to $0.00 if needed.


Create customer account

  1. Log in to your Vinoshipper account.
  2. Go to Customers > Add customer.
  3. Fill in all the information for the competition organizer or whoever you need to ship the samples to.
  4. Once created, click on Convert to Wholesale.
    NOTE: Once a customer account is converted to wholesale, you are not able to change it back.
  5. Send an email to customerservice@vinoshipper.com with the state you need to ship to so we can make sure it is active for wholesale orders. You only have to do this once per state.

Place order

  1. Create an order (Orders > Place an Order) for an existing product.
  2. In the Gift Note, include "Sample not for resale".
  3. Pay for the shipping by charging a credit card or using the cash option, if cash is active on your account.


Damaged or lost orders

Please email customerservice@vinoshipper.com to replace a damaged or lost order. We will place a replacement order and follow up with UPS. This is free of charge to you, a part of the service that Vinoshipper offers!
