A few things make the difference between an ID photo that verifies on the first try and one that doesn't.
- Use a camera of at least 5 MP.
- Place the document on a dark background that contrasts with it.
- Leave that dark background filling about 10% of the top, bottom, left, and right of the frame.
- Get all four corners of the document clearly in frame.
- Keep the image sharp, straight, and not skewed. Shoot in a well-lit room with the flash off.
