Every order needs a packing slip. Shipping orders also need a UPS label. You can print both for one order or for a whole batch.
On this page
Process a single order
- Click Orders > All Orders to open the Order List.
- Find the order you want to process. Use the filter and sort options to narrow the list.
- Click the order number to open the order details.
Packing slip
The packing slip goes inside the box with the products. Print it from either the Order List or the order details page.
- From the Order List, click the packing slip icon to the right of the order total.
- From the order details page, click Packing Slip at the top.
The packing slip opens as a PDF in a new tab. Print it and place it in the box. It has a signature line for whoever packed the order, which gives you a quality check on the way out the door.
UPS shipping label
Orders shipping by UPS need a label on the outside of the box. Print it from either the Order List or the order details page.
- From the Order List, click the UPS icon to the right of the order total.
- From the order details page, click UPS Label at the top.
Choose PDF for a regular printer or PDF (4x6) for a thermal printer. The label opens in a new tab. Print it and affix it to the box.
For printer setup, see UPS printers and Setting up thermal printers.
Note: Orders processed through Vinoshipper ship on your Vinoshipper UPS account. That's what keeps compliance tracking intact.
Process orders in a batch
On the Order List, set filters for the group you want, then print them all at once.
- All UPS shipping orders: Shipments, Order Status Open, Hold Status Not On Hold.
- All local delivery orders: Local Deliveries, Order Status Open, Hold Status Not On Hold.
- All pickup orders: Pickups, Order Status Open, Hold Status Not On Hold.
Add more filters to target a narrower set, such as a single club.
Note: Quick Filters apply these common combinations in one click.
- Click Print Labels.
- A window opens to confirm your choice. If there are no open orders of that type, it tells you.
- Confirm, and the documents start compiling. Pickups and local deliveries get packing slips. UPS shipments get shipping labels and packing slips.
- When they're ready, click the download button, open the file, and print.
Note: Past about 100 orders a month, a UPS thermal printer pays for itself. UPS recommends Zebra: the S4M, the ZP450 (the only model supported on macOS), the ZT230, and the ZT410.
Request a UPS pick up
- When the order is packed and ready, click Request UPS Pick Up in the top right corner.
- Once UPS scans the packages, the order is marked as shipped and the customer gets a shipping notification with the tracking number.
