COLA reminder

Reminder:  The TTB does make market purchases of products to confirm the products are indeed what they say they are i.e. the alcohol content is specified correctly and/or the formula stated is what the actual product is.

COLA & Formula Compliance Reminders

  • A new COLA (Certificate of Label Approval) is required for certain changes, such as:

  • If you produce formula-based products, be cautious of any deviations from the approved formula.

  • For products under 7% ABV (which do not require a COLA), make sure they consistently test below 7%.

  • For products over 7% ABV, be aware of the allowed alcohol content variation listed on your COLA.
