There are no clear regulatory guidelines for trade sample or competition orders. As a general, the maximum quantity that can be sent is two bottles per SKU. The limit can vary by state, you are responsible for verifying state specific regulations.
Create wholesale customer account
Note: Once a customer account is converted to wholesale, you are not able to change it back.
New Customer
- Go to Customers > Add Customer.
- Fill in all the information for the wholesale/trade account.
- Once created, click Customer type at the bottom of Customer Info.
- If a company name was not initially added, enter it now.
- Select the wholesale type.
- If applicable, select the default payment terms, or leave it as No Default.
Convert current customer
- Go to Customers > Customer List.
- Locate the customer you would like to convert to wholesale
- Click their name to view their profile.
- Under Customer info, click Customer type.
- If a company name was not initially added, enter it now.
- Select the wholesale type.
- If applicable, select the default payment terms, or leave it as No Default.
Note: Once a customer account is converted to wholesale, you are not able to change it back.
Place order
- Create an order (Actions> Place Order) for an existing product.
- You may adjust the price to $0.00. Please note damages will be processed at the same price.
- In the Gift Note, include "Sample not for resale".
- Pay for the shipping by charging a credit card or using the cash option, if cash is active on your account.
Damaged or lost orders
Please email customerservice@vinoshipper.com to replace a damaged or lost order. We will place a replacement order and follow up with UPS. This is free of charge to you, a part of the service that Vinoshipper offers!
